It’s wedding week and I’ve got lots of stuff to take care of before Sunday but I’ll still be prepping my meals and hitting the gym all week! I do best with stress when I stick to a routine :) I slept in but you bet I was at the gym this morning for some intervals on the stair master💪 #6days!
Meli and I went out for a peaceful 3 mile run this morning along Lake Washington! I couldn’t stand the thought of getting on a treadmill this morning so I decided to take my workout outside and I’m SO glad I did. There’s something about running early in the morning when everything is still pretty quiet and people are just getting up to start their day. If you aren’t enjoying your workouts, then you are wasting your time! Get out, have fun, and your body will thank you for it! My goal is to do something different everyday this week💪
Nom nom nom! Oats mixed with strawberries, almond butter, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Pair with scrambled egg whites and I’m ready to take on the day! I’m having fun being creative with my meals again now that I have some flexibility after the competition. The side effect of this is more energy and stronger workouts💪 #nooffseason for self improvement!
I woke up late today but I told myself last night that I would go do cardio this morning. No excuses just because the competition is over! So out of bed and to the gym I went, even for just a quick 30 min of incline walking on the treadmill💪… and now it’s confession time: I haven’t been drinking enough water this week and it’s because I wasn’t making it a priority while being off a stricter schedule. The consequence is that my body is holding onto every drop it can👎 so today I’m making a much better effort to drink atleast a gallon and a half. That combined with eating my prepped meals should do the trick! Plus I gotta get hydrated for my bachelorette party tomorrow😜
This day has been crazy taking care of everything that I’ve been putting off to do for the wedding until after the show but amongst final head counts, paying the venue, meeting florists, dress fittings, and more I’ve made sure to MAKE time to prep some food. I’ve had a nice couple of days “off” eating what I want, not going crazy, but enjoying myself here and there. How you look should always come second to how you feel and when I eat clean, whole foods, I feel my best! I prepped some broiled salmon, turkey meatball muffins, lemon pepper asparagus, white sweet potato, brown rice, and summer squash mixed with zucchini and mushrooms! #itsalifestyle

I’m up for my first cardio since the competition! My goals have changed post competition and I want my focus to be on gaining strength and gaining muscle. I didn’t get extremely lean for this show but that wasn’t my goal in that short amount of time. The next month is about to bring big changes in my life, all for the better and it’s nice to have gain back some balance. My goal is to do 3-4 cardio session a week combined with 4 days of heavy lifting💪

Be afraid but do it anyway!💪 I did it! I set a goal, I worked my ass off and I stepped on stage to conquer my fear! Let me tell you it was the biggest rush I’ve ever felt in my while life!
